Yo! Jestem Graf i od zawsze chciałem grać po swojemu. W 2010 roku dołożyłem „Cratedigger”. Nie chodziło tylko o ksywę, ale akcent, ze chciałem kopać głębiej.
Wychowałem się na konkretnym podejściu do płyt i sampli. Na szacunku do dźwięku i sposobu, w jaki się go zdobywa. Nowa ksywa miała nie być tylko nazwą, ale manifestem. Wtedy zrozumiałem, że droga jest celem samym w sobie, a cel? Hm… cele się zmieniają z ewolucją.
Moja muzyka musi mieć charakter, własny sznyt, inaczej to tylko kopia, albo jakiś tani pragmatyzm, Od początku wiedziałem, że trzeba zostawiać po sobie ślad, ale jednocześnie nie bać się zmian. Bo jeśli nie ewoluujesz, to stoisz w miejscu.
W 2015 roku poleciałem na Księżyc, ale to nie była zwykła podróż. To było działanie. Po powrocie nic nie było takie same, zmieniłem się, zmieniła się muzyka. Nowa era wymagała nowego imienia: „Graf and Synths Against Evil Robots”.
„Lost In Space” to zapis końca jednego etapu i początku następnego. Nowe narzędzia? Tak. Ale korzenie wciąż te same. Nic tu nie jest przypadkowe.
A podróż? Ta nigdy się nie kończy.
Yo! I’m Graf, and I’ve always played by my own rules. In 2010, I added „Cratedigger” to my name. It wasn’t just a tag, it was a statement. I was here to dig deeper.
I grew up on a certain way of treating records and samples, on respecting the sound and the art of finding it. The new name wasn’t just a label, it was a manifesto. That’s when I realized the journey itself is the goal, ‘cause goals? Man… they evolve with you.
My music has to have character, a signature style. Otherwise, it’s just a copy. Or worse, some cheap pragmatism. From day one, I knew you gotta leave your mark, but at the same time, never be afraid to change. ‘Cause if you’re not evolving, you’re standing still.
In 2015, I took off to the Moon. But this wasn’t just a trip, it was action. When I came back, nothing was the same. I changed and my music changed. A new era needed a new name: Graf and Synths Against Evil Robots.
„Lost In Space” is the sound of one chapter closing and another one beginning. New tools? Yeah. But the roots stay the same. Nothing here is random.
And the journey? That never ends.
